British brand Smalls, which offers fully traceable merino essentials, is unveiling new additions to its range for 2019.
As well as its first men’s and women’s collection, the brand is also launching a line of socks for 0 to 14 years made in partnership with Collegien. Furthermore, it has an exclusive collaboration with Oeuf NYC and a new colourway.
Men’s and women’s collection
Launched in October, Smalls’ curated collection of men’s and women’s styles is designed with simplicity for extreme comfort and performance.
Smalls’ new sock line
Smalls’ first sock line is in collaboration with leading French hosier, Collegien. The knee-high socks produced in cruelty-free merino are available in navy, rose, mustard and grey marl.
Oeuf NYC x Smalls
Smalls is also unveiling an exclusive collaboration with New York-based baby and kids’ brand, Oeuf. The limited-edition Oeuf x Smalls range titled Under Pressure features a print of planet earth highlighting the importance of sustainable fashion. Available in Smalls’ long sleeve T-shirt in rose, mustard and natural from ages 2 to 14 years.
New colourway
Launching this season, Alpine White is Smalls’ new standout shade available in a microspun 100% merino. The ultra-fine, Italian-spun merino wool has proven benefits for eczema-prone skin in children. The new gender-neutral white colourway is available in a long sleeve T-shirt and vest top as well as a camisole top for ages 2 to 14 years.
Commenting on the brand’s developments is Smalls co-founder, Emma-Jane Adam. “After an extremely busy 2018, we’re looking forward to an even more successful 2019. The launch of our first sock line, the new collaboration with Oeuf NYC, our first men’s and women’s collection and a new colourway.”
Why choose merino?
“We’ve already seen a massive reaction in the UK to the issue of plastic pollution,” continues Adam. “We’re proud Smalls is at the forefront of the movement for wearing merino year-round. A merino sheep grows a new fleece each year. This makes it a completely renewable fibre source without the environmental impacts of other so called eco or ‘organic’ fabrics.”
Cat Pharo, co-founder of Smalls, adds: “As two mothers with six children between us, we are very conscious about how we design our Smalls. Harnessing Mother Nature’s most intelligent fibre – lightweight, super soft, 100% merino wool – our capsule ranges have a luxurious feel, superb fit and work hard for all occasions.
“With a firm nod to the classics, our innovative designs perfectly balance comfort and style. Ensuring that you both look good and feel good all year-round.”
